Candelilla wax

Candelilla wax is a plant based wax derived from the leaves of the small candelilla shrub native to northern Mexico and southwestern United States. It is moisturizing, rich in nutrients, and great to soothe chapped lips. It is considered safe, non-toxic and a non-irritant.

Shea butter

Ultramoisturizing shea butter comes from the shea tree and is packed with nourishing fatty acids and nutrients. It helps produce collagen, soothes inflammation, acts as a natural SPF, and is excellent for a variety of skin conditions, from sunburn and bug bites to wrinkles and eczema.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has antiviral, antifungual, and antibacterial properties, in addition to being one of the most emollient moisturizers available. It’s great to use nearly anywhere on the body, and its soothing antioxidants help smooth chapped lips.

Hibiscus powder and pink clay

In order to avoid using mica and colorants, I used hibiscus powder and pink clay for a natural tint.

Note: when you first use the tinted lip balm, the first coat might be a little hard, don't be afraid to dig into it with your fingertip. The tint is light and natural, for a darker color apply more.
